You can book an appointment by texting us on WhatsApp, calling us on 07491-137533, or sending an email to MexicanPhysio@gmail.com. We aim to respond to all enquiries promptly.

What does a session include?

A typical physiotherapy session at Mexican Physio includes an initial assessment, a tailored treatment plan, and hands-on therapy techniques, alongside advice on exercises and self-management strategies. The specific content will depend on your individual needs and condition.

What is Vojta therapy?

Vojta therapy is a neurophysiological treatment method primarily used to activate innate movement patterns in patients with central nervous system and locomotor system disorders. It involves specific pressure points to trigger reflex crawling and reflex rolling, aiming to restore proper motor function.

Is it true that Vojta therapy hurts?

Vojta therapy can sometimes cause discomfort due to the intense muscle activation it stimulates. Patients may experience a sensation of strain or pressure, but it should not be excessively painful. Our therapists are trained to adjust the intensity to ensure your comfort while maintaining therapeutic effectiveness.

What does FSWT work for ED and pelvic pain?

Focused Shockwave Therapy (FSWT) for Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and pelvic pain involves delivering low-intensity acoustic waves to the affected areas. For ED, it can stimulate blood vessel growth and improve blood flow. For pelvic pain, it can help reduce inflammation and break down calcifications, promoting tissue regeneration.

How does the McKenzie method work?

The McKenzie Method, or Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), is a widely researched assessment and treatment program for spinal and extremity pain. It involves a systematic approach to evaluating movement and pain response, leading to exercises that centralise or abolish pain and restore function.

What is tDCS?

Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that delivers a low, constant electrical current to specific areas of the brain. It is used to modulate brain activity, potentially enhancing cognitive function, reducing pain, and improving motor recovery.

How many sessions do I need?

The number of sessions required varies greatly depending on your condition, its severity, and your response to treatment. After your initial assessment, your therapist will discuss a recommended treatment plan and an estimated number of sessions. We regularly review your progress to adjust as needed.

Why do the exercises need to be done that often?

Home exercises are a crucial part of your recovery. Performing them regularly, as prescribed, reinforces the positive changes achieved during your sessions, strengthens muscles, improves flexibility, and helps to retrain your body's movement patterns, accelerating your progress and preventing recurrence.

Am I going to be cured of my condition?

Our goal at Mexican Physio is to help you achieve the best possible outcome, which often includes significant improvement and, in many cases, full recovery from your condition. While we cannot guarantee a complete "cure" for every complex or chronic condition, we are committed to reducing your pain, improving your function, and enhancing your quality of life.

What should patients know about cancelling or rescheduling an appointment?

Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the appointment will be charged as taken. While we will do our best to accommodate rescheduling, it is not guaranteed on the same time and/or day of the following week. Please notify us via email or WhatsApp message rather than a phone call for cancellations or rescheduling requests.

How do you handle payments, and do you work with any insurance providers?

Payments are usually accepted by electronic bank transfer or cash. We are pleased to work with several insurance providers including AXA, Aviva, Allianz, Vitality, and WPA. Please inform us of your insurance provider when booking your appointment.
